Stephen and I have been attending Wednesday night church at our local First Methodist church (the same denomination that I grew up in). The food is AMAZING and the menu is always 1st class. For example, last night we had crawfish etouffe, squash casserole and broccoli and romaine salad! YUM!!! It is only $4! You cannot get food like this at a high class restaurant and especially not for the price. What we also have come to love is the adult Bible study after dinner. Stephen and I have really learned so much in the last four months. When we moved a few years ago it was my goal to get into a Bible study because I knew how much I really needed one. Well, life got in the way, but we finally are in a great one.

Last night the study was particularly pertinent to what is happening in our lives. The passage we talked about was Psalms 23 "the Lord is my Shepperd, I shall not want... everyone knows this from funerals. It lead us to the most pertinent to our lives Matthew 6:25. It is so remarkable how God knows exactly how to make you get through tough times with his word. We are truly blessed to have our family and our health and know God will get us through this time.

I encourage everyone to read this passage and try to apply it to your everyday life. Now, when I find myself worrying I will think of this passage and I have faith that God will take care of us all!

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[a]?
28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

God is good and He will provide! Funny how we are in the same kind of boat paddling along!
